- Cohort sites:<\/strong> keep the ePortfolio Theme<\/strong> your site was set up with. It builds each student\u2019s process archive and portfolio pages, so switching themes switches those off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Your own site:<\/strong> use Twenty Twenty-Five<\/strong>, the current WordPress default. It comes with ready-made layouts (patterns) and one-click looks (styles).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The other themes in the list are older ones, kept so existing sites keep working. The ePortfolio Theme is built on Twenty Twenty-Five, so the patterns below work on cohort sites too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Switch to Twenty Twenty-Five<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

- In your Dashboard, go to Appearance \u2192 Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Point to Twenty Twenty-Five<\/strong> and click Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Visit your site to check it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Your posts, pages and images stay when you switch. Menus and the homepage layout may need setting up again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Change the look with a style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
A style changes the colours and fonts across your whole site at once. Twenty Twenty-Five comes with eight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Go to Appearance \u2192 Editor<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Styles<\/strong>, then Browse styles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click a thumbnail to preview it on your site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

Add a layout with a pattern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Patterns are ready-made groups of blocks, such as a banner, an image beside text, or a whole page. Insert one, then swap in your own words and images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- In a post or page, click the +<\/strong> at the top left of the editor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click the Patterns<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Pick a category, such as Banners<\/strong> or About<\/strong>, or search for what you want.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click a pattern to insert it, then replace the sample text and images.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
