The Occasional Press works to disseminate art, design and media projects and research through open-access digital and print publication. Underpinning our publishing program is a mandate to reflect the diverse and pluriversal nature of the Emily Carr as well as the broader community.

Making use of agile and collaborative processes in editing and design, we also draw on the resources and know-how of The Stationery Project in our publications. The Occasional Press continues to explore form and materials in editorial design for sustainable bookbinding and production.
